    Intervention in case of problems: the loss of the key, water damage, neighbourhood complaints …

  • Final cleaning (paid by the tenants) after each rental includes:

    Cleaning surfaces, Cleaning the floor, Cleaning bathrooms/toilets, Cleaning the kitchen, changing the bedding and towels, A final inspection on any damage, Shutdown home.

Laundry services include:

  • Cleaning

    Cleaning and drying your sheets and towels, change of your sheets and towels.

  • The linnen packages per person

    1 duvet cover, 1 bottom sheet, 1 pillowcase, 2 towels, 1 bath mat and kitchen towels.

Owner Management

Doing things yourself

If you or your represented caretaker of the house management and you welcome our guests yourself, you will have the same key holder responsibilities as Second Home Care.

The following section provides useful information on your duties and tasks:

  • Key holder’s location

    Every Second Home Rent customer is sent a description of how to get the key holder’s location and a travel voucher containing all the relevant booking information

  • Arrival time

    As set out in the terms of our contract, customers will arrive between 4 p.m. and 7p.m. However, we do ask for your understanding should the client be delayed.

  • Keyholder

    The key holder must react immediately if any problems occur during or between bookings, and must inform the owner of any necessary repairs or purchases.

  • Reservations list

    Second Home Rent sends you a weekly reservations list with all existing bookings by email or post.

  • Property checking

    The holiday property must be properly checked and prepared before the guests arrive to ensure that they will find clean and welcoming accommodation.

  • Arrival

    On arrival, the customer should hand the key holder the Second Home Rent travel voucher and the agreed breakage deposit.

  • Additional services

    Any additional services which are not already included in the rental price, such as WiFi, final cleaningor bed linen and any applicable local tax must be paid by the customer directly on site.

  • Keyholder absence

    If the key holder is away or cannot be on-site, a replacement should be organised to ensure that customers can be welcomed as usual.

There is a difference between a snapshot and a real professional photo. We can all take snap shots. For a real photo we turn to a photographer. Would you like to rent out or sell your holiday home, you have a better chance with the perfect photo portfolio. Second Home Care knows experienced photographers, which could increase the value of your home. They come with the best camera¹s, choose the ideal angle, and wait for the best light. You will definitely see this later in your photos. This will definitely work in your advantage.

    The basic package consists of a monthly inspection of your property on the inside as well as on the outside:

    • Evidence of suspected burglary
    • Evidence of malicious or accidental damage
    • Checking the mailbox, and forwarding important letters to the owner
    • Pest control
    • Compiling of an inspection report after the visit to be sent by e-mail or post
    • Additional inspection visit following severe weather conditions
    • Recommendation on necessary maintenance repairs. These can be done by Second Home Care on an hourly rate basis.

    • Installation of sanitaire and kitchen facilities

    • Weeding the garden
    • Trimming the hedges
    • Maintenance and pruning of the small trees and shrubs
    • Planting new trees and shrubs
    • Disposal of garden waste

    This service is provided on a weekly basis:

    • Checking and adjusting the pH concentration level
    • Checking and adjusting the Chlorine concentration level
    • Cleaning the water filter system
    • Vacuuming the pool
    • Adjusting the water level
    • Checking and cleaning of the pool internal filters
    • Maintaining of the security fence or alarm systems around the pool
    • Ensuring a state of readiness for summer use and setting winter stand-by mode

Accidents in and around the house do not limit to office hours. Even in the evenings and weekends you want to be quickly and professionally assisted.

We make sure you are not alone. Within 2 hours there is a specialist on site that will provide the desired solution.

This is already possible from € 10.00 incl. VAT per month based on a year contract.
